乐山绿地建成于80年代，约5600平方米，由于项目初期建设标准较低且建成时间较长，植物退化、设施陈旧等问题逐步暴露，绿地形态和功能已满足不了居民日趋多元化的休闲游憩需求。
乐山绿地位于社区中央，在设计和建设过程中充分吸取周边居民的意见，将共建理念融入绿地设计和建设过程中，最终形成一个社区共享的服务型口袋公园。以“乐”字主题，基于“仁者乐山、智者乐水”的寓意，将中国园林的山水观融于绿地设计中，打造成一个开放式公园绿地。
Leshan Park was first built in the 1980s, covering an area of 5600㎡ . After decades of subpar maintenance and negligence, the park could no longer meet the neighborhood’s demand for a functional and versatile public green space.
The newly renovated Leshan Park is located in the center of the community. During the early phases, the design team actively invited local residents to voice their opinions and suggestions because this park will eventually serve the whole community. Inspired by the Confucian teaching “the knowledgeable love waters, the benevolent love mountains” and the theme of “enjoying mountains”, the park becomes an open space that integrated many elements from Chinese garden design.
在绿地沿乐山路界面，一条总长80米、超大跨度、室内外融合的景观廊亭“众乐之廊”，是整块绿地改造的亮点之一。廊亭集社区多元活动空间和绿地管理用房等功能于一体，旨在生动绘就一幅呈现社区生活的艺术长卷。
On the side of the park that borders Leshan Road lies the highlight of the park renovation project—an 80-meter-long veranda named the “Gallery of All Enjoyment”. The veranda provides room for multiple community activities and houses the park management office. It is designed to showcase the vitality of the neighborhood
绿地中心区域营造城市开放剧场，并叠加“众乐之源”艺术音乐旱喷与文化地刻，将文化特质和互动景观融于一体。设计之初，乐山绿地就将“全时间段、全年龄段”“人人可享、人人可用”的理念融入其中，拆除原有围栏，打造开放式公园绿地；主动退界，拓宽人行道，并在绿地内部同步建设步道，分流部分行人，优化路况及步行环境；搭建智慧健身设施、新型健身步道，并结合大数据分析，方便居民及时了解运动信息；打造儿童友好型绿地。全新打造的乐山绿地，成为了一个的全时段游憩、全年龄共享、全空间造景的口袋公园。充分考虑周边居民活动场所的诉求，以多彩的颜色，成为徐家汇商业中心旁的一个样板社区公园绿地。
The central area of the park now has become an open-air theater, decorated with a “source of all music” artificial fountain and engraved tiles. The idea is to create a space that is functional at any hour and useful to anybody. That’s why Leshan Park removed the original fences to create an open space. The design team also reduced the park in size slightly to widen the sidewalks. At the same time, trails were built inside the park so that pedestrians can take a shortcut and walk through the park. Fitness facilities, including new running tracks, were added to educate and encourage the locals to exercise more. The park is also designed to be child-friendly. There you have it, a pocket park accessible to everybody in the community. It has become a model community park in Xujiahui CBD.
